Find your tribe. We gravitate in our actions, situations, etc. to be more like those around us. So do your current ambitions align with those of the people you are spending most of your time with? If so, this is fantastic. Openly talk about your ambitions and help each other out. Remember that it’s not a competition but the opposite – the more successful your friends and family are, the more likely you are to be successful and vice versa. So enjoy and thrive.
If on the other hand, you are not surrounded by like-minded individuals. It’s worth reflecting on this. Who are these people? Your friends? Family? Colleagues? How do your values and ambitions differ? How do you think this is affecting you? We find it energy-sapping to be around these people and it can feel like a constant struggle to stay positive, focused on our dreams, and turn the impossible into the possible. When we are, however, surrounded by inspiring, positive, and kind people – everything is so much easier and achieving our dreams becomes possible again. While it’s not always possible or desirable to ditch our family, friends, or colleagues – we can certainly start spending less time with them and more with our desired tribe. We can also be conscious of these differences and realise how they can affect us. This is a really good first step. Photo courtesy of Mark Leslie Comments are closed.
