We love John Lennon’s song Watching The Wheels. “I’m just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round”. John Lennon took himself off the merry-go-round and gave himself time and space and he produced some of this best music. Are we in nature conservation on a merry-go-round? Keeping it turning just for the sake of it? Should we instead step off and look around us? Step off and see the bigger picture? Step off so that we can more clearly see the solutions? John Lennon again “there’s no problem, only solutions”. It is easy to get caught up in the hubbub of it all. It is easy to get lost in the detail. Let’s regularly take time to step off the merry-go-round and evaluate what we are doing. Question our projects, activities, and focus. Are these the most effective things that we can be doing? Is there a better way? A more impactful, cost-effective solution?
Let’s work together to be as impactful as we can be. Let’s take the time together to regularly evaluate and question our work. Let’s support each other to make the necessary changes. Let’s change the world, Wonder Women! Photo courtesy of Mark Leslie Comments are closed.
