Ten simple acts of self-care to enhance your day

​It is so easy to get caught up in the momentum of life and to forget to look after ourselves. So we’ve put together a list of ten small, simple things to rebalance your day and build self-care into a busy schedule.
  1. Wear something that you love. Feel how it lifts your mood, reconnects with your inner self, and brings joy to your day.
  2. Bring scent into your day. Our sense of smell plays an important role in our day-to-day decisions, emotions, and memories - so leverage this to enhance your day whether it’s in your morning shower, a spritz of your favourite perfume, or a scented candle.
  3. Take a walk outside. Take five minutes to go for a short walk in nature. Take this moment to step out of your busy day. Listen to the birds, feel the wind on your face, and watch the clouds going by.
  4. Make a list of things that bring you joy. Bouquets of flowers, scented candles, sheepskin rugs, the smell of a new book, the sound of children in a playground...
  5. Reflect on one thing that you are looking forward to. Let yourself pre-enjoy it. What an easy way to get more value from something :-)
  6. Connect with your core values. Spend one minute writing down your core values and then spend four minutes reflecting on how you can reflect these values in one aspect of your life.
  7. Message a friend that you haven’t connect with in a while.
  8. Change one thing in your workspace to create harmony. For example, buy a plant, light a candle, or declutter your desk. How does this small change influence your work?
  9. Make a list of your champions. Who are your supporters? Who can you call on? Who’s got your back?
  10. Do something that you love that you haven’t done in a while. Listen to a favourite album, take out your knitting, go to an art gallery, swing on a swing...

By taking these small actions you can find a sense of balance and move on with your day feeling energised and refreshed - ready to take on challenges like the Wonder Woman you are!
