I had a discussion with a friend recently who didn’t want to seem boastful about her good fortune. Her good fortune was also a bit stressful but she didn’t want to complain. Gosh - what a lot of bottling-up!
It is all too common that we can feel guilty about our good fortune. What if our friends and family are jealous? We feel bad if they are not having the same good things happening to them. And so on. Internal thoughts and feelings can bring us down and distract us from being joyful about our good fortune. However, one person’s dream could be another person’s worst nightmare. It would be a shame if we weren’t joyful about the good things in life because we thought it might, maybe, make somebody else jealous. Of course there is a difference between being boastful about a good thing in your life versus celebrating it. But it is important to celebrate the good things. It’s important for our souls to let go of any bad feelings and really enjoy the good that life brings. For there are always bad things too and it would be a shame to let these to dominant our lives.
So, Wonder Women of the world, celebrate your successes! Live life joyfully. Be happy for your friends’ good fortunes. Relish in the good luck that life brings.
Forget the begrudgers. Shine, shine, shine :-) For it is with light that we can find our way through the dark. It is with light, joy, and positivity that we can make a difference in the world.
