Avoiding burnout in nature conservation work

There is something addictive about working in a sector that you are passionate about and love. It is fulfilling, interesting, and a place where we can connect with like-minded people.
This is certainly the case for many people working in nature conservation. But it can also overshadow over personal lives and ultimately impact on our health and relationships as well as the quality of our work. We are facing a global environmental crisis and this is the time to be at our best. Yet how can we be at our best if we ignore our health? Or our personal relationships? Undervalue our work? And overwork ourselves? Instead, we need to develop a culture of valuing our work and valuing and looking after ourselves. So Wonder Women - for the sake of the planet and yourselves - say ‘no’ to things that don’t align with your professional and personal goals, maintain strict lines around your working hours, and engage in self-care :-)
